Full Text of this Amendment
SA 760. Mr. VITTER submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 2112, making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
On page 371, after line 7 add the following:
Sec. 237. The Federal Housing Administration may not use any funds made available under the heading "Federal Housing Administration" under the heading "DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT" under this title unless, not later than 60 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Director of the Federal Housing Administration takes all necessary steps to ensure that the Mutual Mortgage Insurance Fund established under section 205 of the National Housing Act (12
U.S.C. 1711) attains a capital ratio of 2 percent before the end of fiscal year 2012.
