Full Text of this Amendment

SA 865. Mr. BROWN of Ohio submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 738 proposed by Mr. INOUYE to the bill H.R. 2112, making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:


On page 173, beginning on line 7, strike "$46,775,000" and all that follows through the period on line 10, and insert "$51,251,000, of which $1,000,000 shall remain available until expended:
Provided, That not to exceed $93,000 shall be available for official reception and representation expenses:

Provided further, That not more than $4,476,000 shall be available to investigate policies of the Government of the People's Republic of China that provide subsidies to solar producers in China, that impose restrictions on the exportation of certain rare earth metals from China, and that potentially violate international commitments by the Government of China, and to seek the elimination of those harmful policies, including through the dispute settlement procedures of the World Trade
Organization.".
