Full Text of this Amendment
SA 834. Mr. PAUL submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 2112, making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:
At the appropriate place, insert the following:
Sec. __X. None of the funds made available under this Act may be used to take any action (including any administrative, civil, criminal, or other action) that would prohibit, interfere with, regulate, or otherwise restrict the interstate traffic of milk, or a milk product, that is unpasteurized and packaged for direct human consumption, if the restriction is based on the determination that, solely because the milk or milk product is unpasteurized, the milk or milk product is adulterated,
misbranded, or otherwise in violation of Federal law.
